101 in 1001

I love the idea of constantly meeting new goals.  The challenge is to complete 101 goals in 1001 days. This is going to be a difficult list because it spans over more than 2 1/2 years. Some of the goals are simple and easy while others are a little more challenging.

Start Date: 9-19-13
End Date: 6-16-16

For Me:
1. Use my library card at least 5 times 
2. Go horseback riding with Eric
3. Attend R. Farmers Market with a friend
4. Develop regular skin and beauty routine
5. Go to a Broadway show
6. Try African Food
7. Try Indian Food (Again)
8. Go fishing with dad
9. Go to coffee with my mom
10. Buy one new complete outfit (sorry Eric)
11. Treat yourself to coffee out once a week
12. Call a friend once a month
13. Learn how to use my french press and percolator
14. Relearn my sewing machine
15. Go camping with hubby and Mar
16. Visit 2 new states
17. Buy a new Yankee candle every season
18. Send letters to a friend every month
19. Get a new hairstyle or cut
20. Get a massage every 6 months

For My Mind:

21. Visit 3 new museums/zoos/aquariums 
22. Read 2 biographies 
23. Learn the history of my city
24. Read at least 2 new books a year 
25. Go to the Biltmore Estate

For My Community

26. Learn about Global Hope India
27. Learn about IJM
28. Research ways to help with orphan needs
29. Make voting a priority
30. Volunteer at least 2x a month

For My Soul:

31. Ready Bible daily
32. Share thoughts from daily reading with Eric, family and friends on a consistent basis
33. Find at least one ministry to serve in at church
34. Decorate for Christmas in November 
35. Dig deeper in Bible Study/invest in friendships
36. Find a friend to get to know well and develop regular coffee dates with her
37. Visit the beach at least 3 times a year
38. Visit the mountains
39. Find a mentor
40. Read entire Bible all the way through
41. Start blog to share my thoughts, questions and adoption journey
42. Have small group over to our house
43. Have game night with friends
44. Take a family vacation with my family
45. Take a family vacation with Eric's family
46. Get a new tattoo
47. Learn more about African American hair care (braiding, products, etc..)
48. Stay up all night talking to my sister
49. Stay up late playing games with my brother

For My Marriage:

51. Date night once a month 
52. Write out reasons why I love him
53. Visit California (or the West) together
54. Affirm Eric in front of friends
55. Hold Eric's hand more, grab his arm often, and kiss him always
56. Go to 3 shows 
57. Do devotions together every night
58. Read a Love & Respect with Eric
59. Watch Eric as he works on projects
60. Go on vacation just Eric and I at least once a year

For My Health:

61. No McDonald's
62. Be more aware of the food that I'm putting into my body
63. Try a new recipe once a week
64. Run a 10k
65. Run a half marathon (Race day April 13...OMG!!!)
66. Learn to eat more fruits and vegetables 
67. Take a kickboxing class
68. Try a new vegetable 
69. Convert solely to Soy or Almond Milk  (I tried this and didn't really see the benefit, so skim it is!)
70. Drink at least 8 full glasses of water a day
71. Find a healthy new snack
72. Take a "me" day once a month
73. Find 3 new parks to hike 


For My Wallet:

74. Stick to monthly budget
75. Decrease the monthly eat out amount
76. Find a new thrift store
77. Utilize coupons for out to eat
78. Plan weekly menus
79. Have at least one garage sale
80. Utilize the free entertainment at local coffee shops or parks

For My Blog:

81. Design a new blog
82. Write in blog at least twice a week
83. Share blog with others

For Others:

84. Pay for the person behind me in the drive-thru on 4 separate occasions 
85. Help a friend with a project

For Our Home:

86. Paint kitchen cabinets
87. Make home feel more homey :)

89. Build new kitchen table with Eric
90. Paint trim

For Our Child:

91. Pray for their soul daily
92. Visit the museum
93. Daddy dates 1 x a month

96. Learn Bible verses together
97. Start morning devotions together
98. Share her adoption story with her
99. Enroll in preschool
100. Volunteer in Orphan Care Ministry
101. Find Bible verses that talk about becoming a Godly mother.
